Work!

We knew there was A LOT of work to do, yesterday was a FULL day of toiling labour. My job was to remove the old "porch". It really wasn't hard. A couple of swings with the ax/hammer at the rail and it flew off then i used a crowbar to remove the deck boards.  I now completely understand why there needs to be building codes! The entire time I was afraid it was just going to collapse while I was on it!  One of the supports for the roof wasn't even over the post. The middle support is just supported by the deck... The header to attach and support the entire deck to the house was a 2x4...
