Volume garbage day.
Two days a year there are bulk garbage days where homeowners can get rid of anything large in the garbage. We started by bringing a fridge and stove which were left behind to the curb and then Roger arrived! He was looking for any scrap metal, as he will take it to the dealer to sell. So he took the fridge and stove and as we chatted he also mentioned if we had anything else he would take it. He then followed us to the basement where he took the old furnace a bunch of scrap metal and lots of buckets of miscellaneous metals. In the back of the basement was an old oil tank. Roger said he wanted it but would come back tomorrow to get it. He arrived tonight around dinner and cut the pipes leading in to it. As the evening progressed more neighbours arrived to help. In the end we had Bob and myself, Yves (his tractor) and his Pappy as well as Roger and one of his friends. It was quite the mess of chaos and ingenuity all at the same time. How to manoeuvre a huge oil tank out of a basement and onto Rogers trailer. I wish I had taken pictures!!! After about an hour the tank was finally out and on the trailer with lots of high fives and laughs it was all done! Gotta love it! ❤️ Bonne Nuit Mes Amis!!
